To deem a Thanksgiving feast successful the first bite should be just as good as the last, but how do you make time for it all? The turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, its nothing short of a miracle to get these staples done well and in monstrous proportions. This year, cut yourself some slack and try the new tradition of not making dessert

I didn’t say not serving dessert, as that is a Thanksgiving cardinal sin, but during your busiest cooking day of the year, outsourcing your pie is going to make the feast preparation more efficient, and maybe even open your eyes to some fall flavors you haven’t tried before. Local pie producer Hatched is here to cradle your dessert expectations with flaky crusts, whipped cream mounds and show-stopping presentations.

With a wide variety to choose from, there is a pie for every guest list, like Classic Pumpkin for traditionalists or the Sweet Potato Coconut, a visually stunning pie for the bold. These nine inch pies feed six to eight people, so you might as well play it safe and buy a few… or ten. Can’t commit to a flavor? Hatched is also offering hand-pie boxes and big bags of pie fries for some extra holiday flair.

Pies will be available for pickup on Wednesday, November 27th at the Hatched Kitchen, Radio Milwaukee, Hawthorne Coffee RoastersVennture Brew Co. and Birch & Butcher. Need some last minute sweets? Hatched will be hosting a pop-up event at Vennture Brew Co. the day before Thanksgiving, slinging slices, hand pies and ‘franken-pies’ for those of you who like to be extra prepared. Thanksgiving pie ordering kicks off today, November 1st, 2019 on hatchedmke.com and will run until November 22nd, but don’t wait! These pies go quickly, and you’ll be thankful to have these delicious treats in your holiday arsenal.
