David Garman is the Founding Dean of the School of Freshwater Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, beginning in 2011. It is the only graduate School dedicated to freshwater research in North America. Dr. Garman’s career has covered the full range of environmental management from water resources and pollution control through to commercialization of new environmental technologies, covering all aspects of measurement, management policy and strategic analysis. Dr. Garman is immediate past-President and former Chairman of the International Water Association, and is an advisor to a number of research bodies, international prizes and water authorities throughout the world, as well as having extensive industry and commercial experience.
